Condition: Fair. 1959. First Edition. 372 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth. Contains black and white illustrations and photographic plates. Pages are light tanned with mild foxing throughout. Cracks to guttering, exposing netting. Binding is shaky however pages remain attached. Water staining to top text block edge, text is unaffected. Illustrations and plates are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Mild tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Unclipped jacket. Panels have heavy edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Substantial area of loss to edges and spine. Visible sunning to spine. Marks overall.
