Signed by the author on the half title page verso. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Very Good; small section of suntoning at head and tail; slight shelfwear to head, tail, and tips; light mottling to board edges. DJ: Good; NOT Price Clipped ($7.95); missing small pieces at head, tail, and along top of front panel; light wear to flap folds. Tan cloth boards and spine with bright black lettering on the spine. Clean internals; interior hinges are sound and not split. 243 pp 8vo. The author has written a lucid and objective historical account of the events leading up to the Crucifixion. The author has sorted out the basic historical material in the Gospels and separated out the Jewish Rebellion of AD 66-70. He concludes that Jesus was executed as a political criminal, not personally involved in political affairs but just caught up in them. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
