Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. First edition, signed by Byrd. "Episodes from an adventurous life." The high points in Byrd's career, first as a novice flyer in training at Pensacola, then Greenland, setting off for the North Pole as pilot, flying over the Atlantic, the Little American Antarctic expeditions, and more. Frontispiece portrait of Byrd and 20 more photographic illustrations. Hardcover, original jacket, maps on the endpapers. Very good in a good jacket, with a small closed tear at bottom of spine and all four corners of dust jacket are clipped. Former owner's bookplate on inside front cover. Very scarce signed. Signed by Author(s).
