A virtual class is an inner class that can be overridden by subclasses of the outer class. Virtual Classes are inner classes of another outer class, which behave like virtual functions. In computerprogramming, lazy initialization is the tactic of delaying the creationof an object, the calculation of a value, or some other expensiveprocess until the first time it is needed. This is typicallyaccomplished by maintaining a flag indicating whether the process hastaken place. Each time the desired object is summoned, the flag istested. If it is ready, it is returned. Inheavily imperative languages this pattern carries hidden dangers, asdoes any programming habit that relies on shared state.
