Signed by William L. Shirer on the title page. 1,245 pages, cloth. No Dust Jacket. States "First Printing" on the copyright page and has a 1960 date on the title page. But also has a blindstamp at the spine edge at the bottom of the back cover that would indicate book-of-the-month club distribution. Has a previous owner bookplate on the verso front endpaper. There's a 1" tear in the cloth at the top of the spine edge of the front cover. Has light bumps on the top fore edge corners, and there's some rubbing on the title boxes on both the front cover and spine.
