Passepartout-Ausschnitt: 16,5 x 50 cm. *Andrea Appiani (1754-1817) schuf als Hofmaler Napoleons in den Jahren 1801-1807 die berühmten 39 Fresken "Fasti Napoleonici" mit Szenen aus Napoleons Eroberungen für seinen Königspalast in Mailand (Die Originale wurden bei den Bombenangriffen der Alliierten im Jahr 1943 zerstört). Im Auftrag Napoleons wurde das Werk aber schon ab 1817 in einem graphischen Zyklus von 35 großen Kupferstichen verewigt. Es gab mehrere Auflagen in Paris in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts mit dem Titel "Fastes Napoleon". Als Kupferstecher an dem großangelegten Projekt waren Giuseppe Rosaspina (1765-1832), Michele Bisi (1788-1874) und Giuseppe Benaglia (1766-1835) beteiligt. - Sauber und gut erhalten Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 4000.
