Add to basketCondition: Near Fine. A programme of events to celebrate the centenary of Franklin D Roosevelt, held at Campobello, New Brunswick, which was the President's summer retreat. Bound in white card wrappers blind stamped with an attractive sailing ship design flanked by a star and a maple leaf signifying the close links between Canad…a and the USA. The programme is nicely illustrated with photos from the Roosevelt family album. Near fine, a couple of scuff marks to the upper cover. Laid in: a Roosevelt Campobello International Park Commission envelope with 100th birthday observance postage stamps for Franklin D Roosevelt postmarked Campobello July 4 1982, and for Eleanor Roosevelt postmarked Campobello October 13 1984. These items come from the Franklin Delano Roosevelt collection of Frederick Baldwin Adams Jr, 1910 - 2001, the son of Ellen Walters Delano who was a first cousin to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Adams became a passionate bibliophile who served as director of the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York City for two decades and compiled a significant personal collection relating to F.D.R. In 1969 he married his third wife who was a Swedish princess and with whom he shared the final years of his life in France.
