The Derrydale Press, New York, 1929, #456 of 550 copies. Illustrated with color illustrations as chapter headings and title page decorations. 7.5" x 10.5". Brown paper covered boards (marbled to imitate leather), black cloth spine, lower portion of the spine on the front cover is lightly damp marked - this sounds bad, but it isn't. Unpaged, 33 pp, printed on one side of the leaf only, unopened, printed on rag paper. Made up of excerpts from Connett's shooting diaries - hunting and natural history of quail, grouse, pheasant, woodcock, snipe, duck and goose. "For thirteen years I have kept a record of each day's sport in the field; these notes have now run into three volumes. Several years ago my good friend Burke was perusing parts of these records and offered to embellish the pages with coloured sketches of American game birds, waterfowl and fish. The text under each picture consists of actual excerpts from the diaries." (Connett). Very good.
