The first NERO WOLFE mystery and a Haycraft -Queen Cornerstone as such.The book has been recased in the original cloth and boards ( rubbing to extremities still present); new head and tail pieces; new marbled end papers compliment the colours of the design and artwork on the new supplied facsimile jacket. Overall the book , while still showing signs of use and occasional finger soiling, is now a solid, firmly bound VG+. Enclosed in a custom clamshell case designed to partially duplicate the design of the original jacket. Laid in, in a purpose made envelope is the original publisher's contract from a Portuguese publisher, INITIALED ( twice) and SIGNED by the author, REX STOUT. The contract grants the company the right to publish "FER-DE-LANCE" in Portuguese.
