Condition: Fair. 1952. First Edition. 368 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth. Slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting, pages remain attached. Pages are lightly tanned throughout. Pencil inscriptions to front free endpaper and rear pastedown. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Water marking to front board.

More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear. Spine has subtle sunning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Noticeable tanning and scuffing overall.
