Condition: Very Good. Vintage digest fitness manual & pinup magazine, produced by Jack La Lanne, fitness expert, nutritionist, motivational speaker, TV show host, general stud & slick salesman. La Lanne (LaLanne) was French-American & San Francisco native who set several bodybuilding & strongman records, even inspired The Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Reprinted a few times, latest about 1972, this the only issue w/ Shirley Kilpatrick. House favorite Shirley Kilpatrick on front & rear cover, posing at the beach in leopard print bikini, hoop earrings, seated on LaLanne's shoulder on rear cover. LaLanne was to start his TV series the year of this publication, it being said that he met his wife Elaine about the same time. Were Elaine and Shirley Kilpatrick actually the same person? Throughout the magazine are instructions & conclusion on proper exercise, photo-illustrated featuring sprightly brunette Manon Dougherty lifting books & using chairs to stretch, a few vignettes of blonde Lynn Roebuck, Jack's "sales pitch" w/ stern but earnest Jack in suit at desk. B/W throughout, 40pp, 5.25 x 8.5 inches, saddle-stapled. Very Good creases, spine tear, tiny stains.
