Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good Minus. Tasha Tudor (illustrator). 1st Edition. First Edition (SD, NAP). This little book is in excellent condition. As you can see, the covers are very clean and free of wear. The book is very solidly bound cover to cover, nicely tight pages. The illustrations, well they're from Tasha Tudor, so they are quite lovely. They are in both black-and-white and color, two pages in color and then two pages and black and white, alternating all the way through to the end of the book. The pages are in great condition. There are no creases. No dogeared corners. No markings. No attachments. And no soiling. The pages are exceptionally clean. On the illustrated first front end paper there is a penned inscription that reads 'To Sally with love Mommy, Christmas 1961.' That is the only writing to be found anywhere in the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first three photos. It has held up pretty nicely. There is a small tear and light crease off the bottom edge of the front cover. Also one tiny tear off the bottom edge of the rear cover there's a little wear on the spine ends. The top corner of the front flap is clipped. However the price is at the bottom corner which is not clipped. The flaps are in very good condition. And that covers it. Take a look at the photos.
