Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good dj. Illustrated by (dj design) Bill Hughes (illustrator). 1st Edition (H-E). [minor shelfwear, faint soiling and age-toning to edges of text block; the jacket (supplied from another copy) is moderately edgeworn, with some creasing and tiny bits of paper loss at the spine ends, short tears at upper hinges, short closed tear and some associated creasing at the top of the rear panel]. INSCRIBED fulsomely by the author, to Walter Seltzer, producer of the film version (THE NAKED EDGE) released in 1961, starring Gary Cooper in his final film appearance. The inscription reads: "To Walter Seltzer / Producer of 'The Naked / Edge' - to whom I am / eternally grateful - for / liking this book enough, / and believing in it enough - / to put his own creative / blood and sweat into / it - not to mention / many long hours of / his time - / With thanks and / very warm regards - / Max." Ehrlich's third novel (and the second to be filmed), it's about the repercussions when a woman receives a letter addressed to her husband -- undelivered for ten years -- that accuses him "of doing something no decent man could ever have done."
