Plus autographed signed letter to whom these were sent, housed in a contemporary slip case. The books are worn, though still intact. More Photos available on request. First edition, first issue of Kipling's notable poetry, identifiable by the error on page 56 where David is printed instead of Saul, and by the publisher's advertisements dated July 1903. Jorg Mikula's stamp appears on the rear and front end pages with a small owner signature above. Cloth boards show wear and minor loosening at the spine. The A troop Salisbury Recreation Club appears 9 times throughout the book, including front and end papers. Jorg Mikula has over-stamped three of these with the recipient of the letter's signature on the title page. Boards have been repaired. Half dark purple morocco over mauve cloth boards. Five raised bands with gilt compartments. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Some wear to heads and tails, as well as to the raised bands, predominantly to Vol. XXI (see image). Moderate wear to corners and hinges, while all remaining intact.
