Edges and endpapers a little foxed and toned, bookseller's label on the front paste-down, o/w very good in good price-clipped dustjacket (handsomely illustrated by Christopher Cornford) with some browning on the edges and a few small professionally restored chips. First edition, first printing. Published by Chatto & Windus in London, 1965. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper is nicely illustrated by Christopher Cornford and is toned at the spine with some slight wear at the tips. There are also light handling marks to the rear panel. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 21s net price. The boards are tight and mostly clean, with some very slight surface wear present. This copy is free from previous owners ink. The text blocks are clean throughout and bright. Overall, this is a near fine copy. The author's third novel.
