An ex-library copy with a neat book pocket, date due slip, and a library stamp of the front paste down and RFEP. A 1" x 1" triangular piece missing at the top of the spine and a light triangular damp stain (does not penetrate to the book) that runs from the spine 2.5" x 3" on the rear panel and 1.5" x 2" on thr front panel. Light foxing to the page ends. Still the book presents well. An acceptable copy.

Full page ink presentation by Cox in 1941 to a couple from another state who had visited the author the previous year. Also laid in is a 2-page (one sheet, double sided) A.L.S. (written letter) warmly written by Cox to the same couple discussing the book & it's purchase. The letter is on the letterhead of Haswell's gift shop, Bryan Texas & is accompanied by canceled Haswell's envelope (with stamp torn off). Other lay-ins, presumably by owners. A splendid looking book with obviously a lot of great information. Foreword was written by Major John Thomason, Jr., U. S. Marines. Some wear to spine extremities, but certainly vg. The scarce dj has a couple of sizable chips, but is still over 95% present. Very scarce & rare with inscriptions. Inscribed by Author(s).

Each medal is listed as being 45mm in diameter and weighing about 40 grams each. The medals are housed in a blue cloth binder with gilt detailing to the front cover have never been opened.
