Condition: Very good to near-fine. Vol. 2, No. 1 of a serial compiled and edited by aviation students of the 65th C.T.D. ("college training detachment") at Syracuse University. Formatted similarly to a year book, the issue includes official and candid photographs of the organization's officers, personnel, honor council, student officers, color guard, and squadrons. Published towards the end of WWII, and filled with patriotic optimism: "It is here, at Syracuse, that we are getting our start. The Flight training we receive here is the foundation upon which we must build surely and solidly; we must live, breathe and think, flying, to be qualified to fill the place of those who have gone before, and keep the faith of those at home" (p. 22). Includes photos of the young men engaging in sports, training, leisure and social activities. Also includes a very sweet photo of the "Corps Pin Up Girl", the Commanding Officer's toddler, with her dog. Single vol.
