With chapters on the fleets from Great Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, the United States, and many others. Including a short glossary of naval terms, comparative tables of the guns and projectiles used by the great fleets, and a list of the ships lost in the Great War from 1914 to 1916. Illustrated with forty-seven plates, depicting the fleets of different countries, to accompany the text. Collated, complete.With a reference bookplate of a previous owner, G. King, dated 1938. Bound in the publisher's blue cloth. Externally, very good, with light bumping and rubbing to the extremities. Hinges are tender, with cords visible. Bookplate and label residue to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with light scattered spotting, heavier to the first and last pages. Very Good. book.
