Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. H. Lawrence Hoffman (illustrator). 1st Edition. 8vo., 219pp. Sharp First Edition, First Printing with no other printings listed as called for during this period. An Inner Sanctum Mystery. Bound in yellow cloth with lettering in navy. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a touch of off-setting end-papers. None of the toning to pages so commonly found. Attractive clipped dust-jacket has some small chips to edges and extremities. Spine mildly toned. Soiling to both panels and what looks like a round sticker ghost on the front panel. Still complete and presents well. Though not marked in any way, this came directly from the library of H. Lawrence Hoffman who illustrated the dust-jacket. His son, David Hoffman, the noted documentary filmmaker, has signed a statement with information about his father, the artist, and attesting that the book was from his library. A copy of this is included. A solid collectable copy.
