A group of neighbours were seen as a threat to the Establishment. The death of one of their sons on the battlefield did not lead to justice. The facts surrounding his murder were suppressed, because a section of society appeared to be beyond the law. Evans reveals corruption at the highest levels and recounts how, even many years later, the army, police and government conspired to stop investigations and publication of the facts.
