This was an influential account of the history and the arts of… the Low Countries, accompanied by city maps by various leading engravers. Deys 2001(Franeker 2.2). Overall size: 29,5 x 17 cm; plate size: 14 x 16,2 cm. Good state. Some age related discolouration. Handlaid paper.

Mm 305x482 (l'impronta della lastra), mm 414x535 (il foglio). Le due piante raffigurano le città di Leeuwarden e Franeker nella regione della Frisia, n…ei Paesi Bassi. Il pannello di sinistra mostra Leeuwarden con la sua caratteristica struttura fortificata e la dettagliata disposizione stradale, mentre il pannello di destra presenta Franeker, nota per essere stata la residenza di numerose famiglie nobili. La mappa include edifici degni di nota e punti di riferimento. Quattro figure in abiti d'epoca sono illustrate in basso. Al verso è impresso il testo a stampa, in latino, che descrive le due città. Piccola mancanza all'angolo superiore sinistro del foglio (ben lontana dall'incisione). Traccia della piegatura centrale.
