A valedictory collection relating to the premature death by drowning on Airthrey Loch in front of Airthrey Castle, (now in the University of Stirling Estate), of Fred Pullar, whilst attempting to save others who had fallen through ice while skating. Pullar played a major role in the Bathymetrical Survey of Scotland with Murray.49p in clean unmarked condition bound in finely pebbled black leather with Pullar's bookplate reproduced on the front board in gilt.
