Heureusement elles furent sauvées. M. le Professeur Ugo Procacci nous explique dans sa préface, les conditions et la technique de ce sauvetage. Duplicates of three of the colour plates. Although the imprint mentions two English publishers, the text was only available in French. Nicely produced set of images from San Marco, Florence painted by the Dominican friar and Italian painter of the Early Renaissance Fra Angelico [ 1395 - 1455 ] who was resident there. Under the patronage of Cosimo de' Medici, Angelico was encouraged to decorate the buildings. 2600 grams.
