Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Elmes, Oliver (illustrator). First Edition. The boards are clean and unmarked. Browning to page edges with some spotting to the top edges, a little creasing to the top corners and two brown spots to the fore edges. There is a little browning to the front endpapers with a three quarter inch round brown stain at the bottom of the front free endpaper. The pages are slightly browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has a one inch closed tear at the top left corner of the front panel, a darkened spine and some rubbing to the corners. There is some circular label residue over the price on the front flap - this is what has caused the stain on the front free endppaper. Jacket design by Oliver Elmes. First printing.

Jacket has minor patchy edge/shelf wear, patchy browning (including to spine), the odd small crease/rub to edges, a couple of very small (approx. 3mms) tears, little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine and to corners, the odd spot of foxing, patchy browning/odd small mark to reverse (white side) and the odd small crease/rub to front/back inner flaps. Boards are very good with minor pushing/bumping to corners, light crease to spine (book has been read), the odd small bump to edges and a little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Minor spine lean. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Small mark to lower corner of a few pages. Pages little tanned. Odd small mark/minor foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. Very occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages. No other faults. A nice copy. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.
