Unpaginated but 34pp., including the inside of the covers, and large colour illustrations throughout. William Stobbs (1914-2000) was a British author and illustrator, and won the 1959 Kate Greenaway Medal. In this rhyming story for the young reader, Mr From set out one day to woo Mistress Mouse, and on his way he met Mister Rat and asked him to go along too. They had a lovely time with Mistress Mouse until the cat and her kittens arrived. The book is staple-bound in the original illustrated card covers. It is in very good condition with some shelf wear to the covers and rubbing down the spine. The contents are secure and clean with no inscription.
