Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Edwards, Lawrence (illustrator). First Edition. The boards have two small bumps, one on the bottom front corner and the other on the top rear corner. The boards are a little faded along the top edge and on the bottom of the spine. There is a slight trace of a pencilled price on the front free endpaper which also has a faint red mark towards the bottom edge. There is a small date stamp at the top of the rear pastedown 'OCT 1969.' Slight browning to the page edges but the pages are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has some rubbing along the edges and a small chip with some associated creasing at the top of the spine. The spine is a little faded and there is some rubbing to the top corners. Jacket design by Lawrence Edwards. Translated by Stanley Chapman. First printing.
