Add to basketThis compelling screen print exemplifies the artist?s rigorous approach to geometric abstraction and color dynamics. The composition is constructed from alternating vertical bands in vivid red, deep purple, and black, arranged in a precise rhythmic sequence. Through subtle variations in width and spacing, Fruhtrunk creates a powerful optical vibration, activating the surface and engaging the viewer?s perception. The work reflects his lifelong investigation into the psychological and spatial impact of color, line, and structure. *** The work is hand-signed in pencil on the reverse and numbered in pencil on the reverse. *** Sheet size approx. 50 x 65 cm. *** Günter Fruhtrunk (1923?1982) was one of the leading figures of post-war German abstraction and a key representative of Concrete and Constructive art in Europe. Strongly influenced by Bauhaus principles and French geometric abstraction, he developed a distinctive style characterized by disciplined structure, bold color contrasts, and a sense of movement generated purely through formal means. Fruhtrunk taught at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich and participated in major exhibitions such as documenta, firmly establishing his international reputation. His works are held in important museum collections, including the Städel Museum, Centre Pompidou, and Neue Nationalgalerie. # Authenticity and provenance guaranteed. # Delivered with a certificate of authenticity. # Worldwide shipping, tax-friendly to the USA and EU countries. # Custom handmade framing available on request.
