First Edition
Handsomely bound in finely woven black cloth; stamped brightly in silver lettering on the spine. Very clean and tight; virtually unread. In a compete and striking dust jacket with photos of Dick Nixon and David Frost on the front panel. The original price of $9.95 is present at the top of the inside front flap. While this copy is Inscribed to "Pat & Dick!/ David Frost (underscored)" on the half-title, I doubt that it is The Pat & Dick Nixon who are referenced, for I have no provenance for the signature. Sir David Paradine FrostOBE(7 April 1939 31 August 2013) was an English television host, media personality, journalist, comedian and writer. He rose to prominence during thesatire boomin the United Kingdom when he was chosen to host the satirical programmeThat Was the Week That Wasin 1962, and his success on this show led to work as a host on American television. First Edition Signed
Hard Cover. Dust Jacket Condition: Dust Jacket. First Edition. First UK Edition. SIGNED & INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR. Behind the scenes of the Nixon Interviews. Publisher's black boards with gilt lettering to the spine. The book itself is Fine without any faults (not even minor bumping). The D/W is VG with some edge wear, age tone and creasing however with no fading whatsoever to the fugitive red spine lettering. Laid inside is a book review cut out from the Yorkshire Evening Post (YEP) dated 17/04/78 which concludes that the author will be giving a talk at the YEP literary luncheon on 27/04/78. Presumably, this is where the book was signed. The book is inscribed by the Author in green felt tip to the front free end-paper: "To Charles/ David Frost". The recipient "Charles" is C.C, Tapp who I believe worked at the YEP. This book was part of his library. Exceedingly uncommon, signed. Photographs/scans available upon request. Signed by Author.
