View of the Dutch city of Geertruidenberg, as seen from the north. With explanatory title (Geertruyenberg) and city crest in the middle of the plate. ca. 1617.This print originates from 'Lodovico Guicciardini, Descrittione di tutti i Paesi bassi (.), Arnhem, Jan Jansz or Utrecht, Van Herwijck, 1617.' This was an influential account of the history and the arts of the Low Countries, accompanied by city maps by various leading engravers. Deys 2001. Overall size: 17,8 x 23,2 cm; plate size: 13,1 x 19,7 cm. Good state. Some age related discolouration. Handlaid paper. Printed text in Dutch about Geertruydenbergh and woodcut decoration on the verso of the print.
