The author argues that despite their advantages in education, wealth, influence, reputation, and time, the gentry were still obligated to serve God and their communities. The author provides specific examples of how the gentry could use their advantages to improve their own lives and the lives of others. Ultimately, the book argues that the gentry had a unique and important role to play in society, and that they should use their advantages to make a positive impact on the world.
