Original green cloth gilt, front hinge cracked and separating, half-title page loose, water stained heavily upon the rear board, affecting front & rear endpapers, text itself is surprisingly unaffected however,… tape repair to front endpaper with of Thomas Caldwell Pears, a fair example, working copy only, in need of a full, fresh rebind from a sympathetic new owner. xi, 99pp.

Bound in red buckram cloth, with gilt spine lettering (the binder removed the original wrappers); interior has minor soil; the plate 26 caption leaf has a large corner crease (secured with what looks like archival document repair tape), and the top 2 1/4 inches of that caption leaf's gutt…er (inner margin) was trimmed unevenly; two other caption leaves are coming loose (still attached at top precariously). [vii], 33 p., with all 49 leaves of plates present and accounted for. Large, heavy volume. [otob: 48].
