The Farnstamm is characterized by the presence of Slegapkyton, while Sphenopteris is represented by the type lloeninghsusi. Other plants found in this formation include Mariopteris muricata, Sphenophyllum, Calamites ramosus, Lepidodendron, Cladophlebis, Syringodendron (associated with Stigmariaopsis), Favularia-type Sigillaria, and Cordaites. Each of these plants contributes to our understanding of the environment and ecosystems that existed during the time when this formation was formed.
