Hardcover. Condition: Good. Publishers blue cloth with spine titles in gilt, cover titles and decoration in red, plain brown endpapers. Cloth bit dulled but clean and unmarked, minor foxing, front endpaper separated in gutter but hinges remain quite firm. The sales were of the initial collection were poor and the publisher repackaged the sheets in separate volumes with new titles and bindings. Book.

Originally published by Redway in 1887 in 3 vols entitled Dreamland and Ghostland. (1st edition, 1st issue). Because of poor sales the stories were reissued the following year as individual volumes with cancelled title pages, Ghost Stories and Presentiments being the third volume of the first issue. The publication of these stories in book form by Conan Doyle in 1887 predates the publication in book form of A Study in Scarlet, and so is the author's first appearance in book form. Sadleir 741.
