Listed as Good - a scarce item.

This is the second hardcover printing, and first thus by this publisher. This is the first of six novels by Agatha Christie under the pen name Mary Westmacott. Book is Near Fine or better, a very tight unread copy but with ghost tape mark dots on the front and rear endpapers, a bit of near invisible scrapes on the top text block & a miniscule lean; just a touch of aging to the text edges, minimal. Dust jacket is Near Fine or better, not price clipped; one tiny closed tear on the front cover at the base - jacket comes in a removable, archival, mylar sleeve - looks like a new copy.

Book has just a few creased page corners, repaired tear to rear endpaper hinge, no former owner or used bookstore markings/stamps inside, clean endpapers with no staining or tape residue, no foxing to pages or endpapers, slight foxing/age darkening/dust soiling to outer page edges, hint of wear/fading to lettering on spine (common defect with this book), no wear to board edges, barest hint of wear to front board corners and to spine tips, NO WEAR-THROUGH OF CLOTH AT EXTERIOR HINGES (another common defect with these early 1930s Collins books), almost none of the usual dust/handling soiling to cloth boards, no bumped board corner.
