Browning in first and last page, see photos The book describes the life of Gleb Botkin. A childhood under the Russian Czar (The Romanovs) His father was the Czar's physician. The author was not close to the Czar family, perhaps he never met them. His later life as a monk in a Russian monastery. Great authenticity, great horror. He was killed, shot in Yekaterinburg.
