Condition: Fine. - Oblong octavo, 3-7/8 inches high by 7-1/4 inches wide. Solfcover, pictorial self-wraps. A 4-page brochure, including the covers for Dodge's Firearrow, a convertible concept sports car designed by Virgil Exner, with illustrations from photographs. The cover page depicts the car from the front and a full page image on page 3 offers a view of the car in three-quarter profile. An illustration of the interior and dash board is pictured on the last page. Descriptive text is printed in two columns on page 2 under the banner title "Exciting New Look in Sport Car Styling" and additional descriptive text on the last page. There is minor creasing, else near fine. Explaining the purpose of his "show cars", designer Virgil Exner once explained that "There was really only a single purpose in all of them, and that was to let the public know that Chrysler was thinking ahead as far as styling was concerned". Yet, his cars were always designed to be road worthy with production requirements in mind. The Dodge Firearrow came very close to being built. Exner wanted Chrysler to build a car that rivaled the Corvette and Thunderbird, but only 3 and one-half Firearrows were built. Despite this, its design influenced the 1956 Dual-Ghia luxury sports car.
