For eight years, Hugh Milne was personal bodyguard to Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, the free-love guru who, at the height of his powers, owned 93 Rolls-Royces and who led his flock towards greater spiritual awareness through wholehearted sexual indulgence. Now, dismayed at the corruption he witnessed, Milne blows the lid off the infamous excesses of one of the most powerful and influential Indian mystics who, in 10 years, had built up a worldwide following and counted Royalty and movie stars among his converts. From the ecstatic early days in India where devotees wore the Hindu orange of purity while practising extremes of sexual licentiousness, to the more recent vicious power struggles in Oregon, Milne's story is at once compulsive and terrifying. -------------------------- 377 pages with b/w photographs ---------- Orders over $100.00 are shipped using tracked courier delivery services. Ignazio Silone. Richard Wright. Gläubige Jünger: André Gide. Louis Fischer. Stephen Spender." - Koestler, Arthur (eig. Köstler, Pseud. Iwan Steinberg), *5.9.1905 Budapest, 3.3.1983 London (Freitod). Autorenlexikon/Systhema. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 205 Taschenbuch. Kartoniert. Laminiert. Glanzfolienkaschierung.
