Twietmeyer between 1883 and 1884.The work illustated several dog breeds including the St. Bernard, Newfoundland, German Shepherd, Terrier, Setter, Pug, Bulldog, Spaniel, Water Dog, Greyhound, Dalmatian, and more. It was the first work to include the Airedale Terrier. It had the first color illustrations of the Belington Terrier, Dandie Dinmont Terrier, Irish Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier, Fox Terrier, Pug, Italian Greyhound, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Irish Water Spaniel, Dachshund, Basset Hounds, and Retrievers. --- The work is in very good to excellent condition.
