Brossura cartonata editoriale rosso mattone, titolo alla bross. ant. con disegnato il Congo. Numerose illustrazioni n.t. eseguite da Jules M. Camreel. Esemplare in stato di conservazione molto buono. Prima rarissima edizione (WorldCat censisce solo la 2° ed., di questa prima non ne rintraccia alcun esemplare in nessuna biblioteca) di questo interessante contributo alla gastronomia coloniale che elabora la cucina e le usanze della zona e contiene rare ricette regionali. Dopo consigli utili alla nuova vita per i giovani coloni, ad esempio per cacciare formiche ed altri parassiti o preparare sottaceti.con la papaya, allieta le loro tavole con i tipici ingredienti del territorio congolese come: bufalo, antilope, scimmia, igname e manioca; fornendo nuove ricette come: la scimmia en gibelotte, la bouillabaisse africana, il cervello di antilope, il pollo con pili-pili o gli gnocchi di patate dolci.
