Unlettered spine is torn in two places. Binding has separated from pages, at both front and back. Inside pictorial endpapers are foxed and show owner's name in pencil. Signed in blue ink on the title page by popular and controversial author/illustrator Munro Leaf, author of kids' classic, "Ferdinand." Interior pages are in good condition. Size: Octavo. Hardcover in Dust Jacket. Condition: Very Good. Stated Second Printing. This book is hard-bound in red cloth with black stamping on the upper cover, in a nice dust jacket with light soiling and light edge-wear. The covers show light soiling and light rubbing to the corners and spine-ends. The binding is solid. The contents are bright and clean, but with some offsetting from the illustrations. This book is Signed/Inscribed by Munro leaf on the front free end-page, with a doodle of a girl, a boy, and a mouse in a tree. ; Signed by The Author.
