Full orange cloth with publisher's printed paper title labels mounted to upper cover (Korean) and spine (English), no dust jacket. A clean tight and unmarked copy with no markings, hinges tight, just a little offsetting from the red on title page and internally a couple leaves with some browning from presumably an old former newspaper clipping laid in, minor edgewear and a bit of toning to spine and scratches and rubbing to the spine label. Considered the first Korean -American novel, the author was born in Korea and here uses the main character to explain his decision to leave Korea for the West. Uncommon in any edition, rare in this the true first edition especially in this condition.…

The number 1 and a dash after it appear in pencil on FFEP, but book is otherwise clean and unmarked. Slight edgewear to dust jacket, but it shows original $4.95 price on front flap.
