The rear board has the publishers device of an owl stamped in black. Simple title in black on spine. CONDITION -- GOOD PLUS -- This is a previously owned book which has seen considerable use, and displays wear, but remains clean, attractive and serviceable, with the following imperfections and particulars noted : EXTERIOR : Spine extremities are compressed and frayed; spine surface is weathered and darkened; front board has mild weathering, moderate surface rub and a touch of abrasion; rear board similar with a bit more spotting and rub; board corner tips are bumped with attendant splitting to cloth; text-block edges are toned, else clear. BINDING : The book has seen considerable use; there is a mend to the front hinge (with paper affixed over the hinge); the rear end-paper over the hinge is split, exposing mull; there is a slight lean of the entire binding to the front (this is hardly of any effect); No leaves are detached or loose, the whole remaining fairly solid. INTERIOR : Scattered small spotting and smudging; a few small ink stains; vague scattered foxing. Basically clean throughout, although I did spot a bit of penciled annotation (see picture provided above) - no other writing was evident, and the interior is basically clean and serviceable. No signatures. A nice specimen of late 19th century American school books.

paperback. Offered is a rare opportunity to acquire the entire run of infamous PB series from Greenleaf Classics. Running from 1975 - 1986, this adult vintage paperback line was one of campiest and most outrageous ever produced. All 290 titles are here. Admittedly boundary-pushing and lacking in good taste, the books explored the fantasy world of pet ownership and rural farm lifestyles while doing so with some of the happiest and goofiest cover artwork, mostly by one yet unnamed artist. Wacky titles also reflect the publisher's sense of humor. This series has long been popular with fans of the heyday of adult paperback publishing of the 1970s and 1980s. Individual titles are hard to find, and large groups even harder. See the photos for which titles are included. See our other listings for individual high grade copies. This lot was put together by a long-time collector who found the best copies he could and upgraded them over time. They range from vg to fine, with most vg+ or better and a number appearing unread.
