First Edition (first printing). A presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the title page, dated the year after publication, and with the author's printed name struck-through. Laid-in is a signed typewritten note on Graham's headed paper to the same recipient, Dr. Walter Neustatter, a prominent London-based consultant psychiatrist who, based on the accompanying letter, Graham periodically saw on a professional basis. 8vo. 576pp. Black boards lettered and bordered in gold at the spine. Map-illustrated front endpapers. The top edge a little dust soiled, and with a tiny bump to the tip of a single corner. A very good copy in slightly dust soiled non-price-clipped dust wrapper, with two tiny fractions of edge-loss, and a short tear and accompanying crease to the head of the rear panel. A historical novel set in Cornwall during the Elizabethan era, around the time of the Spanish Armada.
