8vo. 191 pp. An erotic novel. A photo-reprint of a work first published in 1959 by The Oceanic Press, Paris, a competitor of the Olympia Press. This is a very odd piracy, which came to us with three other titles originally published around the same time. The paper is cheap, and the books are crudely printed, with uneven type and some shadows & cut and paste lines (all of which, we feel, give these books a rather special aura). Printed in a slightly larger format (approx. 5 x 7.5") with the tops of the signatures uncut, leaving the top edges somewhat ragged. The wrappers mimic the Traveller's Companion design, and are printed on thin paper rather than card (cover states 'The Traveller's Companion Series'; Oceanic Press credits appear on the title page). Wraps of this book printed in red on white. We've seen many piracies, but none of this ilk before. Scarce. Original printed wrappers, internally side-stapled. Age-toning to interiors. Wrappers chipped, with some small tears. Good but fragile.
