Whymper usually inscribed these guidebooks in this manner. The handwriting is an exact match to other examples by Whymper. Bound in new grey cloth harcover with black lettering spine. Original front and rear covers of the book have been bound inside at the front and end of the new binding (after new fly leafs). Complete with all pages, illustrations, and maps. New covers are in fine condition. The original paper covers have some corner wear, but a generally clean and not rubbed. No previous owner marks or writing on any pages. Solid binding. A little foxing in margins of pages where folded maps or folded illustrations are present. Minor foxing on three other pages. All other pages are free of foxing.
