Zu Johannes Boehland: Aufgewachsen als Sohn des Malers Richard Boehland (1868-1935) und der Malerin Flora Gaillard begann er seine künstlerische Ausbildung von 1920 bis 1926 an der Unterri…chtsanstalt am Staatlichen Kunstgewerbe-Museum Berlin, unter den Professoren Hadank und B. E. Scherz, und an den Vereinigten Staatsschulen für Freie und Angewandte Kunst unter E. R. Weiß in Berlin. An den Vereinigten Staatsschulen für Freie und Angewandte Kunst war er für längere Zeit als Meisterschüler seines Lehrers tätig. Nach seiner Ausbildung arbeitete er ab 1926 als Graphiker an der Staatlichen Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin. Jedoch fand er seine Begeisterung in der Lehre und fing schon in jungen Jahren an als Lehrer tätig zu werden. Ab 1929 unterrichtete er an der städtischen Kunstgewerbe- und Handwerkerschule Berlin-Charlottenburg. Weitere Lehrtätigkeiten übte er 1931 an der Meisterschule für Graphik und Buchgewerbe Berlin, 1945 an der Hochschule für bildende Künste Berlin, 1951 als Leiter der Abteilung Graphik an der Werkkunstschule Wiesbaden und 1954 an der Meisterschule für Graphik und Buchgewerbe Berlin aus. To Johannes Boehland: Grown up as the son of the painter Richard Boehland (1868-1935) and the painter Flora Gaillard he began his artistic education from 1920 to 1926 at the teaching institute of the Staatliche Kunstgewerbe-Museum Berlin, under Professors Hadank and BE Scherz, and the United State Schools of Free and Applied Arts under ER Weiss in Berlin. At the United State Schools of Free and Applied Arts, he worked for a long time as a master student of his teacher. After his education he worked from 1926 as a graphic artist at the Staatliche Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin. However, he found his enthusiasm in teaching and started working as a teacher at a young age. From 1929 he taught at the municipal arts and crafts school Berlin-Charlottenburg. He held other teaching positions in 1931 at the Meisterschule für Graphik und Buchgewerbe Berlin, 1945 at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Berlin, in 1951 as head of the Department of Graphics at the Werkkunstschule Wiesbaden and in 1954 at the Meisterschule für Graphik und Buchgewerbe Berlin.
