Original maroon cloth, backstrip titled in gilt, covers with blindstamped ruled borders. Backstrip a little rubbed at head and foot, a little faded, and with lettering darkened. Rear hinge lightly rubbed, front hinge slightly so. Shelf edges of covers a little worn at outer corners, otherwise lightly rubbed. Upper outer corners of covers lightly rubbed, all outer corners a little curled. No dust jacket. Expertly applied 2cm-wide off-white muslin strips applied as reinforcements along endpaper hinges, contrasting only a little with creamish lightly toned endpapers. Edges of text-block a little toned, top edge also lightly dust-marked. Contents clean, tight and very good. GOOD+ copy. (Heavy item, overseas shipping at cost.).
