Inscribed by Vincent Hallinan on free front endpaper: "Feb 20, 1985 With best wishes to Fionella Bustos - Vince Hallinan". The highlights of the famed San Francisco lawyer's legal career are brought to light through the reconstruction of some of his landmark cases: The Windmill Murder Case; the defense of San Francisco's public defender, Frank Egan, who had become involved with a mysterious death; Annie Irene Mansfeldt's trial for murder of her doctor/husband's lover; and the Harry Bridges deportation case. Brown leatherette with gilt titling on spine. Covers show bruises at top & tail of spine, mild bruise at front top edge left. Dust Jacket shows light rubbing and scuffing, edge wear, a small closed tear at each of the front upper corners. Interior is clean, crisp & bright, other than author's inscription unmarked.
