Christmas, 1921'.The author, Annette Meakin, and her mother, were the first women to travel to Japan via the Trans-Siberian Railway, beginning their journey in 1900.This copy features a monochrome frontispiece portrait, and 8 further monochrome portrait plates. Collated, complete. Bound in original blue cloth. Externally, very smart. Moderate bumping to extremities. Fading to spine. Rear hinge slightly starting, but firm. Slight age toning to endpapers.
