Hills calls for illuminated title pages without mention of color plates. The covers are gilt stamped with the scene of "The Last Supper." within a triple ruled border containing a foliated field. Some water staining to first few blank pages.Both color Frontis plates present as our the many engravings with tissue overlays. Some foxing throughout. Record of marriages, births and deaths of George Rily King and Diantha Samantha (Parker) King Very Good.

Boards are clean & bright w rubbing to edges & one small tear at head of spine. Endpapers are soiled, gracefully retaped. One dog-eared page. Off-setting from engravings & from a wedding (?) bouquet, which had been pressed between multiple pages (all flowers removed). Some family names recorded on Birth/Death pages, otherwise neat sharp pages throughout.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. [Hubbard Family Bible.] Bound in publisher's ornately tooled and beveled calf. Thick Quarto. Minor shelf wear, rubbing. All edges gilt. Numerous illustrations. Genealogical information: Charles Lyman Hubbard (B. June 8, 1843, Wakefield NH; M. 1872 to Hannah Marcia Hilliard of Georgetown, Mass, b. Oct 20, 1848.). Daughter Eva Maud Hubbard, b. Feb. 13, 1875, Georgetown, Mass. Charles and Hannah's daughter Eva Maud died when she was only 8 years old (Georgetown Mass, Feb 26, 1883). There is a contemporary pin with a small note about "Suffering" next to her death notice. I believe her mother wrote her death into the this Bible. Charles died in Nov. 8th, 1908. Hannah died on June 3, 1918, at 11 Davenport St, Haverhill, Mass. Includes family ephemera, such as a hand made bookmarks, a few notes, etc.
